I would think that it would be really hard to prove to a group or department that although their job descriptions is of a supporting process and not actually seen by a customer, that their job is still relevant to the overall Business Process. Maybe it is because I have always been out there and with the clients that I would have a hard time swallowing that what I did still affect the company even though no one knew I was there. I suppose that is what a support position is all about, and I know I would have a hard time working without them.

These days we all travel more on our yearly vacations, some more than others while the really adventurous like to travel as far away from where they live as they can. Fortunately, there isn't a corner of the earth that doesn't have a travel site dedicated to it so it is easy obtaining information on the internet. In fact, many people have turned to planning entire vacations on a website. The main problem is the convenience of it all and the huge savings that can be found using the internet.

I know it is the norm now but I am not comfortable planning my once a year vacation like this. Being form the old school, it is nice to sit down and talk to a person who will actually listen to what I am saying. My travel agent is also used to me changing my travel plans and knows that I will complain if something is not right. Travel sites on the other hand tend to just be computerized and it is rare that you actually get to speak to a person and then if you do get to speak to a real person, you have no clue where they are.

They may say something just to appease you and it will not hold true in the end. It is because of the number of things that can go wrong I still prefer to use my local travel agent even if it does take a little more time and there may be more to pay. One of my friends only ever uses the travel sites to book her vacations but she does like the last minute discounts that can be found which are much easier to find using the internet. Admittedly, she has save a small fortune this way as she will just look at the sites and be patient until the right vacation comes up at the right price.

This would be a great way to travel and I do envy her but I am required to give two months notice before I can take a vacation. It is also every one’s dream to travel on their vacation via a  private jet plane .  I don't doubt for one minute that by using a travel site can be less expensive as you can also get discounts on tours and car hire by booking this way. There are many advantages to using a travel site to book your travel or even do your research and I do use websites when researching where I would like to travel to, and for getting my facts together. It may not be fair on my travel agent but at least I know if something goes wrong, I will have someone to complain to on my return.
